    The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences

    Obiettivo della ricerca \ue8 stato l\u2019analisi di alcuni elementi architettonici di significativo interesse storico e culturale nell\u2019ambito di un\u2019attivit\ue0 di rilievo e di un\u2019indagine morfologica per la salvaguardia del patrimonio. In particolare l\u2019architettura analizzata \ue8 stata Palazzo Fortuny a Venezia, opera della fine del XV secolo, ricca di apparati decorativi realizzati principalmente in pietra d\u2019Istria. Tra questi sono stati individuati alcuni particolari che, per la loro forma e configurazione, sono risultati essere di grande interesse per la sperimentazione. L\u2019impiego delle nuove tecnologie di rilievo, quali varie tipologie di scanner 3D e il relativo trattamento dei dati stereometrici, ha consentito di ottenere modelli tridimensionali con un elevato grado di accuratezza tali da poter essere trasformati in repliche solide, mantenendo inalterate le propriet\ue0 geometriche. The aim of this research was to analyze some architectural elements of particular historical and cultural interest during a survey activity and a morphological investigation for heritage conservation. In particular, the architecture analyzed was Palazzo Fortuny in Venice, built in the late fifteenth century, full of decorative elements made mainly with Istrian stone. Among these we have identified some details which, for their shape and configuration, have proved to be particularly interesting for this experimentation. The use of new survey technologies, such as several types of 3D scanners and the relative treatment of stereometrics data, has allowed to obtain three-dimensional models with a high level of accuracy to be processed and transformed in solid copies, maintaining the same geometric properties

    The aim of this research was to define a procedure to communicate complex digital model of architecture using Augmented Reality (AR) algorithm. This technology, in fact, could be very useful to transmit results of experiments that are dense of references to be immediately understood, due to the interaction of the user involved directly in the process of understanding. The application was developed both for simple architectural models\u2014such as small rooms\u2014and to complex morphologies\u2014which have, for example, detailed capitals\u2014to test the way in which the user is involved into the system

    La ricerca ha analizzato i progetti che Le Corbusier ha realizzato per la citt\ue0 di Algeri, eseguiti tra il 1931 e il 1942. La sperimentazione si \ue8 concentrata soprattutto sull\u2019indagine relativa ad alcune proposte, quali il sistema di abitazioni sotto la lunga arteria autostradale tra la periferia e il centro urbano, la zona residenziale e il grattacielo della Marina. Queste soluzioni sono state elaborate usando simulatori 3D per la navigazione dinamica e impiegando dispositivi interattivi in realt\ue0 aumentata tali da permettere una maggiore comprensione di questo progetto non realizzato. / The research analyzed the projects designed by Le Corbusier for the city of Algiers, between 1931 and 1942. The experimentation focused mainly on the investigation of some proposals, such as the housing system under the long highway artery between the suburbs and the urban center, the residential area and the skyscraper of the Marina. These solutions have been elaborated using 3D simulators for dynamic navigation and Augmented Reality interactive devices to allow a better understanding of this unrealized project
